Terms of Business

These Terms of Business describe the basis on which RiskLinx provides risk advisory and insurance placement services to its clients. Specific engagements are governed by the written agreement executed for that engagement.

Our Role

RiskLinx acts as an independent insurance producer and risk advisor on behalf of its clients. We are not an insurer. Insurance coverage is provided by the carriers with which coverage is placed, and claims are paid by those carriers subject to policy terms.

Scope of Services

Depending on the engagement, our services may include risk assessment, program design, market negotiation, placement of coverage, renewal management, claims advocacy, and ongoing advisory support. The scope applicable to your engagement is defined in your service agreement.

Compensation

RiskLinx is compensated by fee, by commission, or by a combination of the two, as agreed for each engagement. Our compensation practices are described in our Compensation Disclosure, and we will disclose the form and, on request, the amount of compensation we receive in connection with your placement.

Client Responsibilities

Insurance placements depend on the information you provide. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information supplied to us and to insurers, and for reviewing policy documents on receipt. Please notify us promptly of any changes in your operations that could affect your coverage.

Licensing

RiskLinx is licensed as an insurance producer in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and the District of Columbia. License details are available on our License page.

Confidentiality

We treat client information as confidential and use it only to deliver our services, except where disclosure is required to insurers, by law, or with your consent. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Notice.
